Description

Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils, two oval-shaped pads of tissue at the back of the throat — one tonsil on each side. Signs and symptoms of tonsillitis include swollen or enlarged tonsils, follicular tonsilitis, sore throat, pain in throat, quinsy, pharyngitis, difficulty in swallowing and tender lymph nodes on the sides of the neck. Adven’s Tonsicare tablets help in relieving complaints due to inflamed or infected tonsils in acute and chronic tonsilitis.

INGREDIENTS AND THEIR INDICATIONS

Mercurius bin iodatus 6X : Diphtheria and ulcerated sore throats, especially on left side, with much glandular swelling. Fauces dark red; swallowing painful and difficult. Phlegm in nose and throat. Disposition to hawk, with sensation of a lump in throat. Stiffness of muscles of throat and neck.

Belladonna 6X : Sore throat dry and hot with fever, as if glazed; congestion and feeling of constriction; red; Tonsils enlarged; difficult swallowing. Hypertrophy of mucous membrane of throat. Food chokes easily.

Kali muriaticum 6X : Of great value in catarrhal affections, in sub-acute inflammatory states, fibrinous exudations, and glandular swellings. Follicular tonsillitis when the throat is excessively painful, ulcerated. Grayish-white and enlarged patches or spots in the throat & tonsils, so much can hardly breathe. Adherent crusts in vault of pharynx.

Baryta carbonica 12X : Indicated when every cold settle in the throat. Tonsils inflamed, swollen and prone to suppurate with engorged veins with stitches and smarting pain in throat when swallowing, aggravated from swallowing solids. Persons subject to quinsy which is prone to suppurate.

Ferrum phosphoricum 6X : The remedy for first stage of all febrile disturbances and inflammations before exudation sets in; predisposition to colds and sore throats; especially for catarrhal affections of the respiratory tract. Tonsils red and swollen. Mouth hot; fauces red, inflamed. Ulcerated sore throat with colds, pain worse empty swallowing. Inflamed eustachian tubes. Hoarseness from overstraining voice. Sore throat of singers. Much mucus in throat and rattling in chest.
